User roles & permissions
In this article, you’ll find an overview of the permissions by role and feature. The emlen seller app offers 4 dedicated roles, plus the Buyer role, which is limited to viewing the Destination (buyer view) and interacting only with the features made available there.
The 3 most common roles in emlen are:
Admin
- Full control across Destinations, Content Hub, integrations, and team management
- Can configure organization-wide settings (branding, domains, email templates, authentication, billing)
Content Manager
- Full control of the Content Hub (upload, edit, organize)
- Can create and manage Destinations (e.g. to run Marketing campaigns)
Content Distributor
- Can create Destinations
- Can manage only their own Destinations
👉 Free Admin & Marketing has the same rights as Admin, except it cannot create Destinations. This role is not billed.
